Mumbai set to vaccinate children 2-18 years
Mumbai, Dec 24 : The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has prepared a blueprint to vaccinate children in the 2-18 age group following a spurt in the Covid-19 variant Omicron.
The BMC has arranged 250 centers for the vaccination of children in the city. “As soon as we get approval from the Indian Council of Medical Research, we will start vaccination within a week,” a BMC official said.
“We have arranged around 35 lakh doses for children,” the official said.
He said that after the first dose, the second dose would be given after 28 days and the third in 56 days.
The Serum Institute, Pune, has prepared about 200 crore doses for children.(UNI)
