MP Manish Tewari gets first shot of COVID-19 vaccine

New Delhi, Mar 21 :Former Union Minister and Congress MP Manish Tewari on Sunday received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccine at the Ropar Civil Hospital in Punjab.

Mr Tewari also extended his gratitude to the hospital staff and called the vaccination process ‘flawless and smooth’.

“Today, I visited the Ropar Civil Hospital to get the first dose of COVID vaccine. I also thanked the doctors here for their service. Its a ‘flawless and smooth’ process,” the former Information and Broadcasting Minister can be heard saying in Punjabi in a video posted on his twitter account.

He also urged the eligible people to get themselves inoculated, saying the second wave can be even more dangerous than the first one.

“The second wave of the virus could be more dangerous than the first one. I got vaccinated at my Lok Sabha constituency, Sri Anandpur Sahib, to send out the message that those who are eligible must get vaccinated themselves,” he added in his video message.

He took the first shot of Covishield vaccine.

“Taking the first Dose of COVID-19 vaccine Covishield at Ropar in my Parliamentry Constituency Sri Anandpur Sahib today in the morning,” Mr Tewari, who is also the National Spokesperson of Congress party, tweeted.(UNI)
