Chandigarh, April 11: The Government agencies have procured 66321 metric tonnes of wheat in Punjab on day two of procurement.
Disclosing this here on Sunday, an official spokesperson said that out of the total procurement from various procurement centers in the State, the Government agencies procured 66321 MT.
He further said that PUNGRAIN has procured 15788 metric tonnes, MARKFED 19859 metric tonnes, and PUNSUP procured 14855 metric tonnes while Punjab State Warehousing Corporation 9639 MT wheat respectively. The Centre government agency FCI has procured 170 MT wheat. Apart from this Pungrain Procured 6010 MT wheat for public distribution in Punjab.
Progressive procurement by all the procuring agencies is 68963 MT. (UNI)
