Monsoon session of Telangana Assembly, Council from Sep 24 set to generate heat
Hyderabad, Sep 22 : The monsoon session of Telangana Assembly and legislative Council, scheduled to start from September 24, is expected to generate a lot of heat when several issues come up for discussion.
The session, which is being convened after six months, is likely to last for over a week ,according to sources.
While the ruling TRS wants a full-fledged debate on the flagship Dalit Bandhu scheme to empower dalits, the Opposition may demand a similar scheme for BCs.
Under the Dalit Bandhu scheme, each SC family is given Rs.ten lakh each to start business of their choice.
The Opposition may rake up, among other issues, the sensational rape and murder of a six-year-old girl in Saidabad near the city.
The Ruling TRS too is gearing up to counter the opposition parties.
The government may make a statement on issues connected with river water sharing with Andhra Pradesh.(UNI)
