Mohammed Ali, who is young, wants to establish a wellness center similar to the Hunza Valley in Kargil.
PUNE, FEB 26 : A youth from Kargil, Mohammed Ali Rangyul, has decided to start Hunza-Suru wellness centre in a valley near Kargil in a bid to attract lakhs of tourists and generate employment for the local (Kargil) people.
Talking to UNI here on Sunday, Ali, who is president of Kargil Travel Traders Association, said that nestled in the breathtaking Himalayan mountains, the Hunza Valley, which is now in Pakistan and is home to a remarkable community of people renowned for their extraordinary longevity. It is said that their average life expectancy is around 120 years.
“We want to make development in Suru Valley, which is 37 kilometers from Kargil,” he said
Ali has purchased two acres of land in Suru valley, where he aims to provide services like medical assistance, hotel, sports facilities which will attract many Indian tourists, he believed.
He said that everyone cannot visit Hunza valley, since it requires a visa and other documents because the princely state of Hunza is now the Hunza District in Gilgit-Baltistan region of Pakistan, but in Suru valley anyone can come and stay there if the some development will take at ” Suru”.
He said the Hunza people have long captured fascination of the world, with many attributing theirpricot fruit that is an integral part of their diet.
For generations, the Hunza people have enjoyed a simple yet nutritious lifestyle, largely centred around consumption of apricots, he informed.
So, this succulent fruit is rich in essential vitamins, minerals and antioxidants, providing the Hunza people with vital nutrients that contribute to their overall well-being.
Ali further said that the Suru valley is also endowed with natural scenery and hence, he has firmly taken a decision to develop the place for Indian tourists who can come here frequently.
He further said that government has obtained permission to develop area on two acres of land and start Suru wellness valley there.
“I want to develop the area just like the Hunza valley,” he noted.
Ali also said that people should not identify Kargil with war alone, because there are many scenic attractions are there, which can bring employment to local youth if those areas are developed properly, he added.(UNI)
