Mohali airport road traffic will be smoothened : Manish Tewari
Chandigarh, Jun 30 : Thanks to the efforts of Member Lok Sabha and former Union
Minister Manish Tewari, the traffic problem on Airport Road in Mohali will now be solved.
The Greenfield Road would provide an alternative route to traffic from the Delhi side to Himachal Pradesh, parts of Punjab, Jammu & Kashmir.
It is important to note here that today MP Manish Tewari had taken up the issue with Union Road Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari and the project would be implemented by the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) at a cost of about Rs 700 crore.
The 32km long road would start from IT junction near Airport Road and meet at Kurali-Chandigarh Road. Work on this project will begin soon.
He said all round development of Lok Sabha constituency is his priority and with the commencement of Kharar flyover earlier, traffic jam extending to many kilometers has been reduced.(UNI)
