Minister Chhagan Bhujbal stresses on oxygen storage to fight COVID

Nashik, May 7: The emphasis should be placed on the storage of oxygen, which is essential for corona patients, and the work of the oxygen generation plant should be expedited. Minister for Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection and District Guardian Minister ChhaganBhujbal has said that discussions will be held with the people’s representatives on keeping the market committees closed for a few days to reduce the number of corona patients in the district.

Minister Bhujbal was talking about the current situation of Corona in the district and was reviewed at Bhujbal Farm. District Collector SurajMandhare, Commissioner of Police Deepak Pandey, Municipal Commissioner Kailas Jadhav, Superintendent of Police GrameenSachinPatil, Chief Executive Officer LeenaBansod, District Surgeon Dr. Ashok Thorat, District Health Officer Dr. KapilAher, Assistant Commissioner of Food and Drug Administration Madhuri Dr. Pawar, Resident Medical Officer PrashantKhaire was present.

Minister Bhujbal further said that although the situation of declining number of patients was reassuring, in order to reduce the number of patients in rural areas, the restrictive area should be increased by planning to impose strict restrictions on patients undergoing treatment at home. Also, the Guardian Minister Mr. Bhujbal has instructed the concerned officers to take strict action against those who do not follow the rules in the restricted area.

The supply of beds, oxygen and remedicivir in the district is smooth and excessive use of remedicivir should be avoided. Planning should be done to provide the required manpower to Covid Hospital in rural areas. Mr. Bhujbal has instructed the concerned officers to make proper planning regarding vaccination so that no one in the age group of 18 to 44 years will be deprived in the vaccination campaign.

On this occasion, District Collector SurajMandhare said that emphasis is being laid on making the Kovid Care Center more capable to control the number of patients in rural areas. So that patients can get treatment quickly and on time. The audit of oxygen consumption of all Kovid hospitals has also been completed and the supply of Remedesivir is being made available to all the hospitals smoothly. Apart from this, information about the available reserves of oxygen in the district as well as the measures being taken by all the agencies for the control of corona infection was given by the Collector .Mandhare presented it to the Guardian Minister.(UNI)
