Srinagar, Jan 1 :An unidentified militant was killed in an encounter with security forces in frontier district of Kupwara Today, officials said.

The gunfight broke out at Jumagund area of Kupwara. “One unidentified #terrorist killed in an #encounter at Jumagund area of #Kupwara. Army & Police are on the job. Further details shall follow..” a police tweet said.

Last year, 171 militants were killed and out of them 152 were locals and 19 were foreigners.(UNI)
