The MGM Healthcare, Chennai has tied up with the local Elite Hospitals to offer all, super-specialty procedures under the guidance of Dr. S Thiagarajan Director & Sr Consultant-Liver Transplant and HPB Surgery.

The Tirupati Outreach unit of MGM Healthcare was inaugurated on Thursday in the presence of Dr. Babu Rao, Sr Consultant, Plastic Surgery, MGM Healthcare, Dr. Koduru Bala Subramanyam, Chairman, Elite Hospitals, and Dr. Chinthirla Murahari, Managing Director, Elite Hospitals.

The clinic with state-of-the-art infrastructure offers consultations for neurology, orthopedics, cardiology, ENT, and Gastroenterology and all Specialists from MGM Healthcare Chennai will regularly visit the patients at Tirupati.

Dr. Thiagarajan with over 3,500 liver transplants to his credit said Andhra Pradesh is leading in cases of liver failure in the country.

At present, there are more than one lakh new liver cancer cases annually leading to more than 50,000 deaths in the country.

MGM Healthcare provided facilities to airlift sick patients and offer them life-saving emergency liver transplants within 24 to 48 hours.
