Met Department: Cyclonic Circulation Over Bay of Bengal Weakens
AMARAVATI, DEC 27 : Thursday’s upper air cyclonic circulation over southwest & adjoining west-central Bay of Bengal off South Andhra Pradesh-North Tamil Nadu coasts extending up to 1.5 km above mean sea level has become less marked, Meteorological Centre said on Friday.
A daily weather report here said that light to moderate rain is likely to occur at one or two places in South Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Rayalaseema during the next 3 three days and in North Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Yanam during the next 24 hours.
Dry weather is likely to prevail in North Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Yanam from December 28 to January 2, 2025, and in South Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema from December 30 to January 2, 2025.
Rainfall occurred at one or two places in Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Yanam and most places in Rayalaseema during the last 24 hours.
Heavy rainfall occurred in the SPSR Nellore district of Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Chittoor district of Rayalaseema during the same period, the report added.
