New Delhi, Mar 22 : Members in the Lok Sabha on Monday wished a speedy recovery to Speaker Om Birla who has tested positive for COVID-19.

After the commencement of the proceedings of the House, Rajendra Agrawal, who was in the Chair, said

that ‘We all know that our respected Speaker has been infected with COVID-19 and ‘we wish

him a speedy recovery”.

He hoped that Mr Birla would soon lead the House.

Union Minister for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Mahendra Nath Pandey, while answering supplementary questions during the Question Hour, extended his best wishes Mr Birla for a speedy recovery.

Bhagwanth Khuba of BJP said he wished Mr Birla to be healthy soon and hoped that he would

soon lead the House.

Other members also extended their best wishes to him.

Mr Birla was infected with the COVID-19 on March 19 and is undergoing treatment at AIIMS.(UNI)
