Marathwada registers 57 new COVID-19 cases, no deaths
Aurangabad,Oct 28 :Ratio of COVID positive cases has dropped significantly across in the Marathwada region of Maharashtra which reported only 57 new cases and no related death during the past 24 hours, health authorities informed Today.
Details from all the district headquarters collected by UNI showed that out of the eight districts of the region, Aurangabad reported 17 new cases, followed by Beed 4 cases, Osmanabad 8 cases, Nanded 7 cases, Latur 6 cases, Parbhani 3 cases, Hingoli and Jalna one case each, they added.
Meanwhile, during the past 24 hours,1,485 fresh cases of COVID-19 were recorded across the state, taking the total number of infections to 66,06,536.
The state also registered 38 more deaths, taking the death toll to 1,40,098.
Meanwhile,2,536 patients recovered in the state, pushing the total number of recoveries to 64,43,432 the recovery rate currently stands at 97.53 per cent while the fatality rate is 2.12 per cent.
At present, there are 19,480 active cases across Maharashtra undergoing treatment at different COVID-19 centres and hospitals, the health authorities said.(UNI)
