Marathwada registers 47 new COVID-19 cases, 2 more deaths
Aurangabad, Nov 10 : Covid-19 cases in Marathwada region of Maharashtra have significantly come down as only 47 new cases and two more deaths were reported from the region during the past 24 hours, health authorities informed Today.
Details from all the district headquarters collected by UNI showed that out of the eight districts of the region, Beed reported 10 new cases and two deaths, followed by Aurangabad which had 15 cases, Nanded and Jalna had six cases each, Parbhani had five cases, Latur had four cases, Osmanabad only a single case and Hingoli registered no new case, they added.
Meanwhile, during the past 24 hours, 882 fresh cases of COVID-19 were recorded across the state, taking the total number of infections to 66,19,329.
The state also registered 27 more deaths, taking the death toll to 1,40,430.
Meanwhile 1,293 patients recovered in the state, pushing the total number of recoveries to 64,61,956 the recovery rate currently stands at 97.62 per cent while the fatality rate is 2.12 per cent.
At present, there are 13,311 active cases across Maharashtra undergoing treatment at different COVID-19 centres and hospitals, the health authorities said.(UNI)
