Marathwada registers 376 Covid-19 cases, 4 fatalities
Aurangabad, Aug 2 : The Marathwada region of Maharashtra registered 376 new Covid-19 cases and 4 deaths during the past 24 hours, informed health authorities Today.
Details from all the district headquarters collected by UNI show that out of the eight districts of the region, Beed district was the worst-affected as it recorded 200 new cases and 2 deaths, followed by Aurangabad which had 36 cases and single death, Parbhani had 5 cases and single death, Osmanabad had 83 cases, Latur had 27 new cases, Jalna recorded 24 cases, Hingoli had a single case and Nanded nil.
Meanwhile, during the past 24 hours, 6,479 fresh cases of COVID-19 were recorded across the state, taking the total number of infections to 63,10,193.
The state also registered 157 more deaths, taking the death toll to 1,32,948.
Meanwhile, 4,110 patients recovered in the state, taking the total number of recoveries to 60,99,896.
The state’s recovery rate currently stands at 96.59 per cent and the fatality rate is 2.1 per cent.
At present, there are 78,962 active cases across the state undergoing treatment at different COVID-19 centres and hospitals, added the health authorities.(UNI)
