Marathwada region records 890 fresh nCoV cases
Aurangabad, Mar 5 : The biggest spike of 890 corona positive patients were detected across in eight the eight districts of Marathwada region of Maharashtra state during the past 24 hours, health authorities informed on Friday.
However, the authorities also reported that 10 patients of corona positive were succumbed during the same period, they said.
Details from all the district headquarters collected by UNI shows that out of the eight districts of the region are, Beed district one of worst affected in the region recorded 131 highest positive cases and 4 deaths followed by Aurangabad registered 357 new cases and 2 deaths ,Beed had 88 new cases and two deaths ,Nanded had 125 cases and single death, Parbhani had 43 cases and single death, Latur had 57 cases, Osmanabad registered 45 new cases and Hingoli 44 new cases.
As per official data, 8,958 more corona cases and 60 deaths were reported from across the state during the past 24 hours, taking the state’s cumulative case tally to 21,88,143.
Meanwhile, 6,135 patients were cured and discharged from hospitals during the same period across the state, taking the total number of recoveries so far in Maharashtra to 20,44,414.
With this, the state’s recovery rate continues declining and stand to 93.66 per cent as well as and the death rate stand at 2.39 per cent.
According to the health officials, so far, a total of 52,340 patients have succumbed to the disease in the state and more than 85,144 active patients are currently under treatment in Maharashtra. (UNI)
