Marathwada records 122 fresh Covid-19 cases, 3 deaths

Aurangabad, Sep 30 :Marathwada region of Maharashtra recorded 122 new cases of COVID-19 and 3 fatalities during the past 24 hours, health authorities informed today.

Details from all the district headquarters collected by UNI showed that out of the eight districts of the region, Osmanabad reported the highest 34 new cases and single death, followed by Beed which had 32 cases and single death, Jalna single case and single death, Aurangabad recorded 34 cases, Latur had 16 cases, Nanded had 3 cases, Parbhani had 2 cases and Hingoli nil,they added.

Meanwhile, during the past 24 hours, 3,187 fresh cases of COVID-19 were recorded across the state, taking the total number of infections to 65,47,793.

The state also registered 49 more deaths, taking the death toll to 1,39,011.

Meanwhile, highest 3,253 patients recovered in the state, pushing the total number of recoveries to 63,68,530 the recovery rate currently stands at 97.26 per cent while the fatality rate is 2.12 per cent.

At present, there are 36,675 active cases across Maharashtra undergoing treatment at different COVID-19 centres and hospitals, the health authorities said.(UNI)
