Chittoor, Mar 7 : A man was hacked to death allegedly due to personal rivalry at MC Palem of
Piler Mandal late on Saturday night.
Police identified the deceased as Venkateswara Reddy (44) of Nayinicheruvu Palli.
According to Piler police on Sunday, the body of Reddy was noticed by the villagers of MC Palem.
They informed to police who rushed to the spot.
During the preliminary investigation, police came to know that Sidda Reddy of Nayinicheruvu palle had a long time rivalry with the deceased as Reddy had attacked Sidda Reddy some time back.
As Sidda Reddy was not seen after Reddy was murdered, the family members and villagers
alleged that he is behind it and police are on the lookout to apprehend him after registering a case.
The deceased also appeared as a witness in an SC ST atrocity case registered against Sidda Reddy few days ago. (UNI)
