Maha’s Marathwada registers 63 new Covid-19 cases, 3 deaths

Aurangabad, Oct 25 : Marathwada region of Maharashtra has recorded 63 new cases of COVID-19 and 3 deaths in past 24 hours, the health authorities said Today.

According to details from district headquarters collected by UNI, out of eight districts of the region, Aurangabad reported 20 new cases and three deaths and 18 cases in Beed.

Osmanabad has reported 16 cases, four cases in Nanded, three cases in Latur, one case each in Jalna and Hingoli one each cases. No cases were registered in Parbhani, they said.

Meanwhile, in past 24 hours, 1,410 fresh cases of Covid-19 were recorded across the state, taking the total number of infections to 66,02,961.

The state also registered 18 more deaths, taking the death toll to 1,40,016.

With 1,520 recoveries in past 24 hours, the total number of recoveries stands at 64,35,439. The recovery rate currently stands at 97.46 per cent and the fatality rate is 2.12 per cent.

At present, there are 23,894 active cases across Maharashtra, who are undergoing treatment at different Covid-19 centres and hospitals, the health authorities said.(UNI)
