Mumbai, Sep 1 :Maharashtra has recorded 1,600 new Covid-19 case and five coronavirus-related deaths across in the state, according to a health bulletin on Thursday.

With the addition of these new cases, the state’s cumulative tally has surged to 81,00,338 and the toll has gone up to 1,48,242.

A total of 1,864 patients were discharged during the same period, taking the overall count of recoveries to 79,42,458.

The state’s recovery rate stands at 98.02 per cent and fatality rate 1.83 per cent .

As of now, there are 10,633 active Covid-19 patients in the state, the bulletin added.

In Marathwada region alone, 33 positive patients and single death was reported. It included three positive cases and single death in Aurangabad district; 11 cases in Osmanabad, eight cases in Latur, four in Parbhani and two cases each in Beed, Nanded and Jalna districts and single case in Hingoli district, the bulletin further added.(UNI)
