Aurangabad/Mumbai, Aug 2 : Maharashtra reported 830 new cases of Covid-19 and one related death, according to health bulletin on Tuesday.

With the addition of these new cases, the state’s cumulative case tally has surged to 80,48,285 and the death toll moved up to 1,48,105.

Meanwhile, 1,024 patients were cured and discharged during the day across the state, taking the overall count of recoveries to 78,87,377 in the state.

The state’s recovery rate currently stands at 98 per cent and fatality rate at 1.84 per cent.

Presently, 12,808 active Covid patients were undergoing treatment in different hospitals across the state, the bulletin added.

Meanwhile, the Marathwada region in the state reported 14 new Covid cases, including 8 cases in Aurangabad district and 6 in Nanded district while the remaining six districts did not report any new case, the bulletin further added.(UNI)
