Mumbai, Jan 14 : The Covid-19 surge remained consistent across Maharashtra Today as more than 40,000 patients were found for third consecutive day.

As per official data, the state tallied 43,211 cases and 19 deaths, taking the total caseload and death toll to 70,24,278 and 1,41,756 respectively.

Meanwhile, 33,356 people were cured and discharged during the day across the state, taking the overall count of recoveries to 67,17,125.

The state’s recovery rate dropped to 94.28 per cent and the fatality rate came down to 1.98 per cent.

Presently, Maharashtra has 2,61,658 active cases, the data apprised.(UNI)
