Maha: Marathwada reports 303 new Covid cases, one death
Aurangabad, Jan 7 : The Marathwada region of Maharashtra reported 303 fresh Covid-19 cases and one related death, health authorities informed Today.
Reports collected by UNI from the all district headquarters stated that of eight districts in the region, Latur district recorded 68 cases and one death followed by Aurangabad with 128 cases, Nanded 36 cases, Osmanabad 23 cases, Parbhani had 21 cases, Beed 12 cases, Jalna had 11 cases and Hingoli had 4 cases, they added.
Meanwhile, during the past 24 hours, 36,265 new cases of Covid-19 were recorded across the state, taking the total number of infections to 67,93,297.
The state also registered 13 more Covid deaths, taking the death toll to 1,41,594.
Meanwhile,8,907 patients recovered in the state, pushing the total number of recoveries to 65,33,154. The recovery rate currently stands at 96.21 per cent while the fatality rate is at 2.09 per cent.
At present, there are 1,14,847 active cases across Maharashtra undergoing treatment at different Covid-19 centres and hospitals, the health authorities said.
The state also reported 79 new cases of the Omicron variant taking the tally to 876.
In the mean time 381 patients have been cured so far, they added.(UNI)
