Aurangabad, Jan 18 :Maharashtra’s Marathawada region has recorded 1762 fresh Covid-19 cases and three deaths in the past 24 hours, health authorities said Today.

Of the eight districts of Marathwada, Aurangabad recorded 443 cases, followed by Nanded 420 cases, Latur 410 cases and single death, Beed 129 cases and two deaths, Jalna 109 cases, Parbhani 104 cases, Osmanabad 91 cases and Hingoli 56 cases, they added.

Meanwhile, Maharashtra has reported 31,111 fresh Covid-19 cases, taking the total infection count to 72,42,921.

The state also registered 24 more deaths, taking the toll to 1,41,832.

Meanwhile, 29,092 patients recovered in the state, pushing the total number of recoveries to 68,29,992 the recovery rate currently stands at 94.3 per cent while the fatality rate is 1.95 per cent.

The state currently has 2,67,334 active cases, the health authorities said.

Meanwhile, Maharashtra reported 122 fresh cases of Omicron, taking the tally to 1,860.

While 959 patients were cured so far, they added.(UNI)
