Maha: Marathwada registers 867 fresh Covid cases, no death
Aurangabad, Jan 11 : The Marathwada region of Maharashtra recorded 873 fresh Covid-19 cases and no related death, health authorities informed Today.
Reports collected by UNI from the all district headquarters stated that of the eight districts in the region, Aurangabad district recorded 317 cases followed by Nanded with 164 cases, Latur had 155 cases, Osmanabad 104 cases, Parbhani 68 cases, Jalna 37 cases, Beed 16 cases and Hingoli had 12 cases, they added.
Meanwhile, during the past 24 hours, 33,470 fresh cases of COVID-19 were recorded across the state, taking the total number of infections to 69,53,514.
The state also registered 8 more Covid deaths, taking the death toll to 1,41,647.
Meanwhile, 29,671 patients recovered in the state, pushing the total number of recoveries to 66,02,103. The recovery rate currently stands at 94.95 per cent while the fatality rate is 2.03 per cent.
At present, there are 2,06,046 active cases across Maharashtra undergoing treatment at different COVID-19 centres and hospitals, the health authorities said.
Meanwhile the state reported 31 fresh cases of the Omicron variant, taking the to 1,247.
So far 467 patients have been cured of the Omicron variant in the state, they added.(UNI)
