Maha: Marathwada registers 365 new COVID-19 cases, 16 deaths
Aurangabad, Jun 23 : The Marathwada region of Maharashtra recorded 365 new cases of COVID-19 and 16 fatalities during the past 24 hours, health authorities informed Today.
Details from all the district headquarters collected by UNI show that out of the eight districts of the region, Aurangabad topped the list recording 77 new cases and 8 deaths, followed by Beed which had 147 cases and 2 deaths, Latur had 23 cases and 2 deaths, Jalna had 14 cases and 2 deaths, Nanded had 15 new cases and 2 deaths, Osmanabad had 50 cases , Hingoli recorded 5 cases and Parbhani had 24 cases,
Meanwhile, during the past 24 hours, 8,470 fresh cases of COVID-19 were recorded from across Maharashtra, taking the cumulative total of infections in the state to 59,87,521.
The state also registered 188 fresh COVID deaths, taking Maharashtra’s death toll to 1,18,795.
Meanwhile, 9,043 patients recovered in the state during the same time, taking the total number of recoveries in the state to 57,42,258.
The state’s recovery rate now stands at 95.9 per cent while the fatality rate is 1.98 per cent.
At present, there are 1,23,340 active cases across the state undergoing treatment at various COVID-19 centres and hospitals, the health authorities said.(UNI)
