Maha: Marathwada registers 36 fresh COVID-19 cases, a single death
Aurangabad, Dec 1: The Marathwada region of Maharashtra recorded 36 fresh COVID-19 cases and a single related death during the past 24 hours, health authorities informed Today.
Data collected by UNI from the district headquarters stated that, out of eight districts in the region, Aurangabad district recorded 8 cases and one death, followed by Latur with 10 cases, Osmanabad had 3 cases, Beed had 7 cases, Jalna had 6 cases, Osmanabad had 4 cases, Nanded reported one case and Hingoli and Parbhani nil, they added.
Meanwhile, during the past 24 hours, 678 fresh cases of COVID-19 were recorded across the state, taking the total number of infections to 66,35,658.
The state also registered 35 more deaths, taking the death toll to 1,40,997.
Meanwhile,942 patients recovered in the state, pushing the total number of recoveries to 64,83,835. The recovery rate currently stands at 97.7 per cent while the fatality rate is at 2.12 per cent.
At present, there are 7,555 active cases across Maharashtra undergoing treatment at different COVID-19 centres and hospitals, the health authorities said.(UNI)
