Maha: Marathwada registers 330 new COVID-19 cases, 6 deaths
Aurangabad, Jul 11: The Marathwada region of Maharashtra recorded 330 new cases of COVID-19 and 6 fatalities during the past 24 hours, health authorities informed Today.
Details from all the district headquarters collected by UNI showed that out of the eight districts of the region, Aurangabad topped the list recording 38 new cases and 5 deaths, followed by Beed which had 188 cases and 1 death, Osmanabad had 58 cases, Latur had 29 cases, Jalna had 11 new cases, Parbhani had 9 cases, Nanded 2 cases, and Hingoli nil.
Meanwhile, during the past 24 hours, 8,296 fresh cases of COVID-19 were recorded across Maharashtra, taking the cumulative total number of infections in the state to 61,49,264.
The state also registered 179 fresh COVID deaths, taking Maharashtra’s death toll to 1,25,528.
Meanwhile, 6,026 patients recovered in the state during the same time, taking the total number of recoveries to 59,06,466.
The state’s recovery rate now stands at 96.05 percent while the fatality rate is 2.04 percent.
At present, there are 1,14,231 active cases across the state undergoing treatment at various COVID-19 centers and hospitals, the health authorities said. (UNI)
