Maha: Marathwada registers 33 fresh COVID-19 cases, one death
Aurangabad, Dec 14 : The Marathwada region of Maharashtra recorded 33 fresh COVID-19 cases and one related death during the past 24 hours, health authorities informed Today.
The district headquarters report stated that of eight districts in the region, Beed district recorded 4 cases and a single death, Jalna had 15 cases, Nanded and Aurangabad had 6 cases each, Latur and Osmanabad had one case each, Parbhani and Hingoli nil, they added.
Meanwhile, during the past 24 hours, 569 fresh cases of COVID-19 were recorded across the state, taking the total number of infections to 66,44,652.
The state also registered 5 more deaths, taking the overall death toll to 1,41,264.
Meanwhile,498 patients recovered in the state, pushing the total number of recoveries to 64,93,002. The recovery rate in the state currently stands at 97.72 per cent while the fatality rate is 2.12 per cent.
At present, there are 6,507 active cases across Maharashtra undergoing treatment at different COVID-19 centres and hospitals, the health authorities said.(UNI)
