Maha: Marathwada registers 30 fresh COVID-19 cases, 3 deaths

Aurangabad, Dec 7 : The Marathwada region of Maharashtra recorded 30 fresh COVID-19 cases and three deaths in the past 24 hours, health authorities informed Today.

The district headquarters report stated that of eight districts in the region, Aurangabad district recorded highest 12 cases and one death, followed by Jalna 8 cases and single death, Hingoli single death, Beed 5 cases, Parbhani 4 cases, Latur one case.

Meanwhile, Nanded and Hingoli reported no fresh cases of the virus.

During the past 24 hours, 518 fresh cases of COVID-19 were recorded across the state, taking the total number of infections to 66,39,296.

The state also registered 5 more deaths, taking the death toll to 1,41,175.

Meanwhile, 811 patients recovered in the state, pushing the total number of recoveries to 64,8,594. The recovery rate currently stands at 97.71 per cent while the fatality rate is 2.12 per cent.

Currently, Maharashtra houses 6,853 active COVID cases, the health authorities said.(UNI)
