Aurangabad, Feb 13 : The Marathwada region of Maharashtra recorded 261 fresh Covid-19 cases and one related death, health authorities informed Today. Reports collected by UNI from the all district headquarters stated that of eight districts in the region, Parbhani district recorded 16 cases and a single death, Latur had 70 cases, Aurangabad had 56 cases, Osmanabad had 53 cases, Nanded had 32 cases, Beed had 21 cases and Hingoli had 7 cases and Jalna district reported 6 cases. Meanwhile, Maharashtra recorded, 4,359 fresh Covid cases across the state, taking the total number of infections to 78,39,447. The state also registered 32 more Covid deaths, taking the death toll to 1,43,387. Meanwhile,12,986 patients recovered from Covid in the state, pushing the total number of recoveries to 76,39,854. The recovery rate in the state currently stands at 97.45 per cent while the fatality rate is 1.82 per cent. At present, there are 52,238 active cases across Maharashtra undergoing treatment at different Covid-19 centres and hospitals, the health authorities said. Meanwhile, 237 fresh cases of the Omicron vairant were reported in the state, taking the tally to 3,768. So far 3,334 patient’s have been cured, they added.
