Maha: Marathwada registers 175 COVID cases, 4 deaths
Aurangabad, Aug 26 : The Marathwada region of Maharashtra recorded 175 Covid-19 cases and 4 deaths during the past 24 hours, health authorities informed Today.
The district headquarters report stated that of eight districts, Osmanabad was the worst-affected district with 75 cases and 2 deaths, followed by Beed 78 cases and single death, Aurangabad 21 cases and single death, Latur 17 cases, Jalna and Nanded two cases each.
However, no one patient was recorded in Parbhani and Hingoli districts, they said.
Meanwhile, during the past 24 hours, 5,031 fresh cases of COVID-19 were recorded across the state, taking the total number of infections to 64,47,414.
The state also registered 216 more deaths, taking the death toll to 1,36,571.
While4,380 patients also recovered in the state, pushing the total number of recoveries to 62,47,414.
The state’s recovery rate currently stands at 97.04 per cent while the fatality rate is 2.12 per cent.
At present, there are 50,183 active cases across the state undergoing treatment at different COVID-19 centres and hospitals, added the health authorities.(UNI)
