Aurangabad, Feb 20 : Maharashtra’s Marathawada region has recorded 96 fresh Covid-19 cases and 3 deaths, health authorities informed on Sunday. Of the eight districts of Marathwada, Aurangabad recorded 41 cases and single death, followed by Nanded 11 cases and single death, Parbhani 3 cases and single death, Latur 17 cases, Osmanabad 10 cases, Beed and Hingoli districts 6 cases each and Jalna 2 cases, they added. Meanwhile, Maharashtra has reported 1,635 fresh Covid-19 cases, taking the total infection count to 78,55,369. The state also registered 29 more deaths, taking the death toll to 1,43,576. Meanwhile, 4,394 patients recovered in the state, pushing the total number of recoveries to 76,91,064, the recovery rate currently stands at 97.89 per cent while the fatality rate is 1.82 per cent. The state currently has 18,368 active cases across, the health authorities said. With no fresh case of Omicron reported in the state.
