Maha: Marathwada logs 1,343 fresh Covid cases

Aurangabad, Feb 2 : The Marathwada region of Maharashtra has recorded 1,343 fresh Covid-19 cases and 6 deaths in the past 24 hours, health authorities said Today. Reports collected by UNI from the all district headquarters stated that of eight districts in the region, Aurangabad district was worst affected recorded highest 474 cases and 2 deaths followed by Latur had 163 cases and 2 deaths, Hingoli district reported 148 cases and single death, Beed had 106 cases and single death, Nanded had 144 cases, Jalna had 134 cases, Parbhani 99 cases and Osmanabad had cases 79, they added. Meanwhile, during the past 24 hours, 14,372 fresh cases of COVID-19 were recorded across the state, taking the total number of infections to 77,35,481. The state also registered 49 more deaths, taking the death toll to 1,42,705. Meanwhile,30,093 patients recovered in the state, pushing the total number of recoveries to 73,97,952 the recovery rate currently stands at 95.63 per cent while the fatality rate is 1.85 per cent. At present, there are 1,91,524 active cases across Maharashtra undergoing treatment at different COVID-19 centres and hospitals, the health authorities said. While, no one fresh case of new variant Omicron was spotted in the state. Hence the tally of Omicron remain up to 3221. While 1682 patient’s were cured so far, they added.(UNI)
