Maha: Marathwada logs 124 fresh Covid cases
Aurangabad, Feb 19 : The Marathwada region of Maharashtra has recorded 124 fresh Covid-19 cases and 5 deaths in the past 24 hours, health authorities said on Saturday. Reports collected by UNI from the all district headquarters stated that of eight districts in the region, Aurangabad district was worst affected recorded 34 cases and 2 deaths followed by Beed had 6 cases and 2 deaths ,Latur had 24 cases and single death, Osmanabad had 29 cases, Nanded districts had 19 cases,Parbhani & Hingoli had five cases each and Jalna had 2 cases, they added. Meanwhile, during the past 24 hours, 2,068 fresh cases of COVID-19 were recorded across the state, taking the total number of infections to 78,55,369. The state also registered 15 more deaths, taking the death toll to 1,43,547. Meanwhile, highest 4,709 patients recovered in the state, pushing the total number of recoveries to 76,86,670 the recovery rate currently stands at 97.85 per cent while the fatality rate is 1.82 per cent. At present, there are 21,159 active cases across Maharashtra undergoing treatment at different COVID-19 centres and hospitals, the health authorities said. While, no fresh case of new variant Omicron was spotted in the state. Hence the tally of Omicron remain up to 4,456 While 3,531 patient’s were cured so far, they added. (UNI)
