Maha: Agitation held seeking OBC quota in local bodies
Jalna, Jul 4 : As part of the statewide agitation, Rashtriya Samaj Party staged a road blockade here on Sunday, seeking OBC reservation in the state’s local bodies.
Led by the party’s district in-charge Omprakash Chitalkar, the activists gathered at the Ambad square area and stopped the vehicular traffic.
They also demanded that no elections be held till the quota, which was recently stayed by the Supreme Court, is restored.
Also, Mr Chitalkar held the state government responsible for the Court’s decision.
Marathwada liaison chief Ashok Lande, district president Babasaheb Bhojne, youth district president Govind Jadhav Shivaji Tarvate, Rameshwar Kale, Sandeep Pawar, Santosh Kolhe, Gajanan Vaise were well present among other party office bearers.(UNI)
