SANGLI, MAHARASHTRA, JULY 24 : The Chandoli irrigation dam areas in the district were hit by an earthquake at 4.47 am on Wednesday, with a 3.0 Richter scale.

According to the irrigation department, an earthquake occurred in Chandoli irrigation dam areas when discharging excess flood water from the dam area, however, there was no report of any casualty or property in the areas, and there was no danger to the irrigation dam due to the earthquake.

The central point of the earthquake was registered at 8 km at Warnavati in the Shirala tehsil of this district.(UNI)
