Mah: Youth gets 5-yr RI in fake currency case

Kolhapur, May 27 : A 27-year-old man was sentenced here Today to five years of Rigorous Imprisonment after being convicted in fake currency printing case.
The convict has been identified as Vishwas Annappa Koli.
oday sentenced five years rigorous imprisonment and fine Rs One thousand to accused, who printed counterfeit currencies notes of Rs 100,200 and 2000.
According to woman public prosecutor P J Jadhav, the accused was arrested in 2018, with printing equipment and fake currency in denominations of Rs 100, Rs 200 and Rs 2,000 in his possession.
Based on 16 testimonies, District Additional Session Judge P M Nagalkar convicted him under IPC 489(A), (C) and also levied a Rs 1,000 fine.(UNI)
