Thane, Oct 26 : Thane district reported 140 new COVID cases and two deaths in last 24 hours, the authorities informed today.

With this, the total tally of COVID patients has spiked to 5,64,803 and fatalities have jumped to 11,480.

The mortality rate was 2.03 per cent in the district at present, he added.
In neighbouring Palghar district, the COVID-19 case count has gone up to 1,37,832, while the death toll stands at 3,282, an official from Palghar said.(UNI)
