Mah: Stock level of the Jayakwadi dam on Tuesday morning crossed 85 per cent
Aurangabad (Maharashtra), Sep 28 : The stock level of the Jayakwadi dam today morning crossed 85 per cent after receiving inflow of 17,841 cusec of water per second from the upstream dams of Nashik and Ahmednagar districts which were already filled up, officials said today.
According to the Water Resources Department bulletin, Jayakwadi–one of the biggest dam in Maharashtra–is currently holding 2584.321 Million Cubic Meter(MCM), which is 85.04 per cent of its’ total capacity.
However, rest all the ten major irrigation dams in the region were filled up cent percent and water is being discharged from these dams due to the heavy rains which is playing havoc for several days now.(UNI)
