Mah: Panchnama work of flood-affected land nearing completion

Aurangabad, Sep 25 : More than 81 per cent of the panchnama work for the rain-hit agricultural land across the eight districts of Marathwada has been completed till Friday evening, the Divisional Commissioner office informed today.
The office also said that 100 percent of panchanama work has been completed in three districts including Hingoli, Latur and Osmanabad as there were less agriculture land that were affected by the floods.

In Nanded district 93 percent work has been completed, followed by Parbhani 79.81 percent, Beed 79.21 percent, Jalna 73.09 and Aurangabad 73.67 percent, they stated.

The vigorous monsoon hit kharif crops standing on a total of 15.38 lakh ha of land in the eight districts of Marathwada.
So far, the damage has been assessed for 12.53 lakh ha land out of 15.31 lakh ha affected land which is 82.79 per cent of the impacted area and covers 18.59 lakh farmers out of total 21.82 farmers, the office informed.

The state government is likely to announce relief for farmers after the completion of panchnama work.(UNI)
