Nagpur, May 23 : Nagpur Today reported 1,042 new Covid-19 cases and 24 fatalities which is an all-time low figure in one single day.

With these updates, the cumulative of positive cases surged to 4,71,059 while the number of deaths rose to 8,768.

Just a week ago, the COVID-19 deaths were giving headache to the administration. But now everybody is heaving a sigh of relief as the death count has gone down.

The district witnessing a constant rise in COVID-19 recovery in the last few days. Today 2,326 recoveries were reported in the district, taking the cumulative recovery to 4,48,357.

The speed with which the patients are recovering is reducing the gap between cumulative recovery number and cumulative positive cases.

The good recovery has paved way for fall in active cases as those stood at 13934. The recovery rate rose to 95.18 per cent.(UNI)
