Mah: Marathwada registers 43 new COVID-19 cases, 2 deaths
Aurangabad, Oct 27 :Ratio of COVID positive cases has dropped significantly across the Marathwada region of Maharashtra which reported only 43 new cases and two related deaths during the past 24 hours, health authorities informed today.
Details from all the district headquarters collected by UNI showed that out of the eight districts of the region, Beed reported 9 new cases and 2 deaths, followed by Aurangabad with 21 cases, Osmanabad 5 cases, Nanded 4 cases, Latur 3 cases and Jalna a single case.
Parbhani and Hingoli did not report any new COVID case, they added.
Meanwhile, during the past 24 hours,1201 fresh cases of COVID-19 were recorded across the state, taking the total number of infections to 66,05,051.
The state also registered 32 more deaths, taking the death toll to 1,40,060.
Meanwhile, 1,370 patients recovered in the state, pushing the total number of recoveries to 64,38,395 the recovery rate currently stands at 97.48 per cent while the fatality rate is 2.12 per cent.
At present, there are 22,981 active cases across Maharashtra undergoing treatment at different COVID-19 centres and hospitals, the health authorities said.(UNI)
