Kochi, Jul 1 :Kochi Metro Rail Limited (KMRL) resumed services Today after 53 days of lockdown with strict adherence to Covid-19 protocol.

The trains will run from 8 AM to 8 PM.

The metro premises will be cleaned and sanitized regularly to prevent the spread of the Corona virus, official sources said.

Other safety measures such as thermal scanning of passengers would be taken to check their temperature before entering the station.

Arrangements have been made to have a contactless ticket system in all the stations.

The waiting time for trains at metro stations has been increased from 20 seconds to 25 seconds to

ensure passengers won’t come in contact while boarding/deboarding and for fresh air circulation.(UNI)
