Kishan Reddy: Telangana: The Center allots Rs. 10 lakh crore for the state’s development

HYDERABAD, APR 19   :    Union Minister and Telangana BJP President G Kishan Reddy asserted that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Center has allocated Rs 10 lakh crore for the development of Telangana during the last 10 years.

Addressing a gathering at Himayat Nagar, Reddy unveiled a report on the progress of the Secunderabad Constituency during his five-year tenure.

He presented a PowerPoint presentation, expressing surprise at the allocation of five Ministers of State along with the Ministry of Tourism, Culture, and Development of the North Eastern Region.

Reddy highlighted various initiatives undertaken, including the organization of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsavs by the Department of Culture, where the national flag was hoisted in every household. Additionally, festivals celebrating Alluri and Telangana Liberation Day were organized, and the Department of Tourism and Culture played a pivotal role in G20 meetings.

Discussing infrastructure development, Reddy mentioned the construction of 2,500 km of National Highways during Modi’s nine-year rule, with ongoing projects and plans for a Regional Ring Road (RRR) around Hyderabad, allocated Rs 26,000 crore.

He contrasted the railway development under the UPA regime with the current government, stating that 55 KM of railway lines are now constructed annually in Telangana, totaling 1,645 KM for Rs. 31,221 crores. He also highlighted the establishment of the RMU unit in Kazipet and the commencement of a mega textile park in Warangal.

Regarding agriculture, Reddy noted the subsidy of Rs 27,000 crore provided to Telangana farmers for fertilizers and the distribution of subsidies under the PM Kisan Samman Yojana.

On healthcare and education, he mentioned the establishment of the Hyderabad BioMedical Research Center, a tribal university in Mulugu, and initiatives such as the Rashtriya Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan and National Skill Training Institute for women.

Reddy discussed infrastructure projects, including the redevelopment of the Secunderabad railway station, the establishment of a Charlapally terminal, and the inauguration of MMTS services between Lingampally and Ghatkesar.

He also highlighted achievements in heritage conservation, cultural promotion, and public welfare, emphasizing the government’s commitment to comprehensive development in Telangana.(UNI)
