Thiruvananthapuram, Jan 3 :Kerala reported 2,560 fresh COVID positive cases and 30 related deaths Today.

About 2,150 people also recovered from the disease on Monday, a press release from the health department said this evening.

“Meanwhile, 30 recent deaths were confirmed due to COVID on Monday. About 41 deaths were also added to the list based on appeals seeking its inclusion in the list taking the death toll in the State to 48,184,” the release added.

About 43,210 samples were tested during the last 24 hours. Currently 1,04,506 people are under observation in the State — 1,02,281 are at their homes or institutional quarantine centres and 2,225 in hospitals.

On Monday, 167 people infected with virus were admitted in various hospitals in the State. Weekly Infection Population Ratio (WIPR) is above 10 at six wards where strict restriction is being imposed.(UNI)
