Thiruvananthapuram, Sep 30 :Showing no respite from rising number of COVID cases and deaths, Kerala today reported fresh 15,914 positive cases and 122 deaths.
About 16,758 people have recovered from the disease today, according to a release from the health department.
Meanwhile, 122 recent deaths were confirmed today as due to Covid, taking the death toll in the state to 25,087.
About 1,03,871 samples were tested during the last 24 hours. Currently, 4,46,818 people are under observation in the state — 4,27,935 are at their homes or institutional quarantine centres and 18,883 in hospitals.
Today, 1,204 people were admitted to hospitals with virus Infection.
Weekly Infection Population Ratio (WIPR) is above 10 at 745 wards where strict restriction is being imposed.
In the last 24 hours, Covid was not detected in any person who recently came to Kerala from the UK. So far, 11 people who came from the UK were diagnosed with the virus.(UNI)
