Thiruvananthapuram, May 12 : Kerala Governor Arif Mohammed Khan and Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Wednesday greeted people on the occasion of ‘Eid-ul-fitr.

In a message, the Governor said “Eid-ul-fitr celebrates the sanctity of self discipline, sacrifice and charity in human lives, and the Fast awakens us to the need to ensure a hunger-free, happier world”

“May the celestial light of kindness and brotherhood brighten our lives during Ramzan and at all times, strengthening our actions in our way forward,” he said.

“My heartiest greetings to Keralites all over the world, on the solemn occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr,” the CM added.

The Chief Minister said “Eid-ul-Fitr shares the message of humanity, unity and compassion. Let it help us to overcome the challenges posed by the ongoing pandemic.”

“Greetings to all of you for observing the month of Ramadan in tune with the Covid induced restrictions,” the CM added.

Opposition leader Ramesh Chennithala also greeted the people on the occasion.(UNI)
