Kejriwal sends a letter to the LG about the deteriorating law and order situation.

New Delhi, June 20 :Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal wrote a letter to the Lieutenant Governor, VK Saxena, over deteriorating the law & order situation in the national capital.
“Four murders have occurred in the past 24 hours which shows lack of law & order conditionsin the city,” he alleged on Tuesday.”No substantial action has been taken by the LG and Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) to fix the situation, nothing has changed on the ground,” claimed CMIn his letter, Kejriwal urged the LG to take immediate steps to restore the faith of the people
regarding their safety and security.”Such serious crimes have shaken Delhi. It is high time that those entrusted with the responsibilityof ensuring the safety of lives of residents should not be seen as failing time and again in their mandatory duty,” the letter reads.Kejriwal, drawing attention to the latest National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB) report,emphasised that it should have served as a wake-up call for the MHA and the LG, who are responsible for maintaining law and order in the city.Surprisingly, no substantial action has been taken based on this report, which reveals thatDelhi alone accounted for 32.20 per cent of total crimes against women among 19metropolitan cities in India, he claimed.”Given such alarming figures, urgent preventive steps on crimes against women were required,but unfortunately for the reasons best known to the MHA, nothing has changed on the ground,”
