KCR’s derogatory comments directed towards Telangana voters are denounced by the TPCC.
HYDERABAD, MAR 13 : Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) senior vice President G Niranjan criticised former Chief Minister and BRS President K Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR) for insulting the people of Telangana during a public meeting in Karimnagar.
Addressing the media at Gandhi Bhavan, here on Wednesday, Niranjan expressed concern over KCR’s comments, stating that KCR insulted the people by suggesting they voted with excessive ambition and greed, trivializing their democratic participation as mere fun.
Niranjan demanded an apology from KCR for his disrespectful remarks towards the citizens of Telangana. He called KCR politically bankrupt in the state, attributing his defeat to the people’s realization of his true nature.
Referring to KCR’s statements on Kaleswaram, Niranjan questioned the transparency and accountability, urging KCR to reveal the details of the project’s financials and express concerns about the well-being of the engineers involved.
Predicting KCR to be remembered as a “traitor of Telangana ‘ after the reports from the state government’s commission and Dam Safety Authority Committee, Niranjan criticised KCR’s lack of understanding regarding the pillars in Kaleswaram.
In a separate note, Niranjan commented on the Union Government’s notification on September 17, suspecting political motives behind it.
He questioned the necessity of issuing a fresh notification for Telangana Liberation Day, considering the celebration has been observed for years.
Niranjan suggested that multiple recent notifications, including the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) notification, are attempts to deceive the people and questioned how many more would come before the election schedule is announced.(UNI)
