NEW DELHI, NOV 29 :  With barely a few days to the premiere of his eagerly anticipated movie, “Freddy,” Kartik Aaryan is ready to dazzle us with his completely different persona.

The rising star is doing everything in her power to pique the audience’s curiosity in a novel form of build-up. The actor has posted a video of his significant makeover for the upcoming psychotic horror “Freddy” after releasing some of the most spooky videos.

In the video, Kartik can be seen gradually changing into Dr. Freddy Ginawala, a dentist. For the same, the actor gained a total of 14 kg, worked on his body language to add Freddy’s personality in the way he moves and behaves, and most crucially, got inside the head of Freddy, a shy and paranoid dentist. The actor trained with genuine dentists in real clinics. Kartik is no longer distinguishable in this clip as he begins to resemble Freddy more and more, including hunching, donning specs, and changing his hairdo.

He added, “Becoming #Freddy has been one never-forgettable adventure for me, from growing 14 kg to travelling to Real Clinic and acquiring techniques from dental… Pushing my physical and mental limits to forget who I really am and transform into Freddy for the reel. I’m grateful to have collaborated on this difficult on-screen change with such a fantastic team.

In an innovative marketing strategy, the “Freddy” filmmakers have been disseminating brief miniclips and teasers to provide a glimpse into Freddy’s universe, but they have held back from disseminating a trailer to prevent giving away too much. The songs from the movie are already doing incredibly well, and Kartik once again started a craze with the Chopper step from the song “Kaala Jaadu.”

The movie “Freddy” will debut on December 2.
